As a wife and mother of three children I fully understand the dynamics of family life and bring this experience to my work. I was an early adopter of “alternate dispute resolution” (Collaborative Law, Mediation, etc.) because I believed those types of services would make a genuine difference to families. I enjoy working with people and I am confident that I can provide the knowledge and guidance you need to successfully resolve all matters arising from your separation and redefined family circumstances.

I am committed to resolution processes which promote negotiation and keep families out of Court. I strive to minimize acrimony. I believe that where court can be avoided there is greater preservation of your future relationships, ability to communicate and effectively co-parent, and family funds.

I believe when people work together they achieve the most useful and honest outcomes. When called upon to be a decision maker (as an Arbitrator or Parenting Coordinator), I do my utmost to be fair to both parties and seek solutions which best serve the overall family.

My own personal background as a parent and spouse allows me to translate my real life perspective and practical experiences. Above all I aim to provide you with practical, realistic plans that align with the requirements of the law.

My experience and training as a family law lawyer and former litigator allows me to:

  • Keep up with the current trends in family law cases
  • Be an honest “check and balance” as to what a court might order;
  • Draft comprehensive, binding Agreements which incorporate the decisions you have reached.
  • Make binding determinations (when appropriate) which can be enforced the same as a Court’s Order.
I am committed to a different legal approach: One that humanizes the realities of the law, respects all family members, understands the family is changed but not broken, and one that strives for the family to be the winner
